Hostinger Tutorial 2026 (Ultimate Beginner’s Guide)

Hey, I'm Caleb and in this video I'll walk you through everything you need to know about Hostinger. Whether you want to build a website, launch an online store, or deploy a web app, Hostinger has a tool for it. The problem is most beginners sign up and have no idea which tool to use or where to even start. And that's what this video is for. I'm going to show you exactly how to get set up, walk you through every major feature, and by the end of this video you'll know exactly which path is right for you and how to get started with it. Here's what we're covering next in this video. We'll start with web hosting, which is Hostinger's most popular service. I'll walk you through three different ways to build a website, WordPress, Hostinger's website builder, and Horizons, which lets you build a project from a single prompt using AI. And after that, we'll cover Hostinger's VPS options for deploying web apps or setting up things like AI agents. Otherwise, stick with me and we'll go through everything together. Let's start with Hostinger's most popular service, which is web hosting. To begin, you'll need a hosting plan. Head over to this link on screen right here or click the first link in the video description. That link will make sure you're getting the best price on any plan that you choose. Once you go to that link, you'll see three plans. There's premium, business, and cloud startup. Premium is the cheapest option and covers the basics. You can build a few websites, you get a free domain, it includes WordPress, the website builder, and some Horizons credits. If you're on a tight budget and just need one simple website, premium is great for that. Business is the plan I'd recommend to most people. You get a lot more room to grow, daily backups so your work is always protected, and it unlocks features like Node.js web apps, which matters if you ever want to deploy something beyond a standard website. In my opinion, this is the plan with the best value. Cloud startup is the high-performance plan. Unless you're already getting serious web traffic, you probably don't need this plan to start out. I'll go with the business plan. Go ahead and click on choose plan for the plan that fits your needs the best. After that, you'll go through the checkout process, create a Hostinger account, and land on Hostinger's onboarding page. The onboarding will ask you a couple of basic questions about what you're building. Just answer those questions and Hostinger will set everything up for you. Now, here's where it gets interesting. You're going to land on this page right here, and this is the big decision point. You've got three main options in front of you. WordPress, website builder, and Horizons. And if this is your first time seeing this, you might be thinking, "What do these even do? If I choose the wrong one, will it be the end of the world?" Don't worry, it's not. Each of these is designed for a different type of person with different goals. So, before you click anything, let's actually learn what each of these options are so you can make the best choice for you. Don't pick one just yet. Let's go through them first. So, let's start with the first option here on the left. This is WordPress. It's easily the most popular option for building a website. Millions of websites run on WordPress and for good reason. It gives you full control over your site. You can build literally anything with it. Blogs, business sites, online stores, portfolios, you name it. If you were to go ahead and select WordPress on this screen, Hostinger would install it for you automatically. Once it's done, you'd land in your WordPress dashboard. Now, this might look a little overwhelming at first, but don't worry. Here's the fastest way to get a professional-looking site up and running. First, go to the left side menu, click on appearance, then themes, and search for Astra. Install it and activate it. Astra is one of the most popular themes on WordPress and it's completely free. Once Astra is activated, go to plugins, click add new, and search for starter templates. This plugin gives you access to hundreds of professionally designed website templates that you can import with one click. Pick a template you like, import it, and just like that, you've got a full website that's ready to customize. To customize it, you can use a visual editor called Elementor. It's drag-and-drop with no coding required, which is perfect for beginners. You click on any element on the page, change the text, swap out images, move things around, whatever you want. It's really that simple. Now, creating a website with WordPress goes away deeper than what I just showed you. But, for this overview, just know that WordPress is the most flexible option. If you want full control, and you don't mind a small learning curve, this is the option for you. All right, let's head back to our options and look at the second option in the middle here. This is Hostinger's website builder. Now, if WordPress felt like a lot, this one is going to feel like a breath of fresh air. Hostinger's website builder is designed to be as simple as possible. You don't need to install themes or plugins or configure anything. When you select a website builder, you'll land on a screen where you can describe your website idea in a prompt. Tell it what kind of website you want, who it's for, and the vibe you're going for. The more detail you give it, the better your starting point will be. And if you'd rather start from a pre-made template, that option is right there on the same screen. Either option works fine. Once your site is generated, you'll land in the website builder editor. Everything here is visual. You've got a sidebar on the left with your elements, pages, styles, and AI tools, and you can click on anything on the page to edit it. If you want to change the text, click it and type. If you want to swap an image, click it and replace it. You can add new sections, rearrange them, and drag elements around the page. It's all drag and drop. It also has built-in e-commerce if you want to sell products, SEO tools to help people find your site, and you can even set up a custom email that matches your domain. Everything you need is all right there. Now, here's the real difference between this and WordPress. It comes down to simplicity versus flexibility. Hostinger's website builder won't give you thousands of plugins or the ability to customize every tiny detail, but that's actually the point. It's built for people who just want a clean, simple, professional website that doesn't require tons of plugins or extra tools to work. If you just want to get online fast with something that looks great, and you don't want to think about plugins or themes, this is the option for you. All right, let's go back to our options one more time and look at the third option here on the right. This is Hostinger Horizons, and it's completely different from the other two options. Horizons is what's called vibe coding. Instead of dragging and dropping elements or installing themes, you describe what you want to build in a prompt, and Horizons builds it for you using AI. Before we get into how it works, there's something important to know about this. Horizons runs on a credit system. Every time you send a prompt to the AI, it costs one credit. The hosting plan you chose earlier comes with a limited number of credits. Premium gives you 15, business gives you 30, and Cloud Startup gives you 50. And for a simple project, that might be all you need. But if you want to do more, you can buy additional credits or grab a standalone Horizons plan with more credits and features. I'll leave a link in the description to the standalone Horizons plan, just in case you want to get a better deal for Horizons specifically. So, here's how it works. You type in what you want to build, something like, "Build me a modern website for a freelance photographer with a portfolio gallery and contact form." And Horizons will generate the entire project for you. Once it's built, there's an edit content tab where you can update text and images for free. No credits needed. For bigger changes like adding a new section or rebuilding part of the page, you ask the AI on the left and it handles it. Every one of those changes costs one credit. And here's a quick tip. Submit big changes as separate prompts instead of cramming everything into one. You'll get better results that way and waste fewer credits. What releases Horizons apart is the fact that it handles back-end features, too. Things like storing contact form submissions and user data. So, to quickly recap, WordPress gives you full control and flexibility, Hostinger's website builder gives you the simplest path to a great-looking website, and Horizons lets AI build something custom from a prompt. Pick the one that fits you best and you'll be good to go. All right. So, no matter which option you chose, whether it's a WordPress, website builder, or Horizons, everything gets managed through this dashboard right here. This is called HPanel, and it's your home base for everything on Hostinger. When you first land here, you'll be on the home page. This gives you a quick overview of anything that needs your attention or any actions you need to take. On the left side, you'll find your main navigation. If you click into websites, you'll see all of your active websites. To configure the settings for a specific site, just click a dashboard next to the website you want to manage. That's going to bring you into your website's dashboard. And this is where you can connect a custom domain, set up email marketing, view your analytics, basically manage everything about that website at a glance. If you click back into home on the left, you'll also see the domains tab. This is your domain portfolio. If you want to grab a new domain or transfer one over, you can do that here. And below that, you'll see emails, and that's where you can set up a professional business email. There's also a few other options below that, but these are the main ones you'll use starting out. Now, there's two more things I want to show you here. In the top right, if you click ask AI, that's going to connect you with Hostinger's Cody AI. If you need help with something like connecting your domain to your website, you can just ask Cody and it'll walk you through all the steps. That goes for anything within Hostinger. It's very reliable and if it can't figure something out, it'll connect you to a real person. And for the last thing, if you want to manage your actual account, just click on the icon in the top right and you can see everything regarding your account information there. Okay, so everything we've covered so far has been about building websites, but Hostinger also has something for more technical users and that's VPS hosting. VPS stands for virtual private server and it gives you your own dedicated server that you have full control over. Think of it kind of like this. With regular web hosting, you're renting an apartment in a building. With a VPS, you're renting the whole building. You decide what goes in it and how it runs. So, why would you even want a VPS? Well, if you're deploying custom web apps, running AI agents or assistants, setting up Docker containers, or doing anything that needs more power and control than a standard hosting plan gives you, you'll want a VPS. It's not something that most beginners will need. And if you're just building a website, everything we already covered has you taken care of. But if you're doing anything on the more technical side or you're just curious about what's possible, Hostinger's VPS plans are a great option.
